Quadroped Modeling:  I need a quadroped to rig, and I figured I need all the modeling practice I can get, so I threw this little kitty together in about 2 1/2 hours. Warning: This may give you motion sickness..

First Acting Anim Cycle:  I put about 18 hours worth of work into this, so far. I plan on flushing it out more and submitting to the 10 Second Club. Have to admi that it turned out better than expected.

Luma Run Cycle :  2nd animation cycle. Took about 8 hours flush out. Also added super-low-poly proxy, which sped things up considerably. Remember to set the loop option in Quicktime. ;)

Latest Info :  A misc. collection of my latest studies in rigging/scripting. The first model displayed was created by an animation teacher and given to me by a friend of mine for rigging. This was only created to obtain feedback that will help me create a more professional reel.

First 3d project:  I had first touched Maya (my first 3D application) about 2 months prior to this project.  Project took a little less than 2 weeks in order to move from concept story(2 days), storyboards(2 days), modeling(4 days), skinning (3 days) and finally completing animation (4 days) (skinning took me almost 3 days).  Lighting and textures took less than a day.

Simulated 'crunch time' exercise:  Solo project.  We were individually given the character model and character rig.  This was an exercise in constraints, groups and animating goal weights, by making the character build an object in his hands.  We were not expected to complete the assignment but were required to get as far as possible in the 3 days allowed...  which included sleeping on the floor of the classroom for two nights. Exercise given about 4 months into the class.

Luma Project:  Solo project.  After graduating school, I had set out to work on my robot project.  My goal was to create a robot with working gears and pumping fluids that are automated automatically within the rig.  This was a great undertaking that I have learned much from.

Current Project (Buddy):  Model was created by a professional animator and a friend forwarded the files onto me, asking for a better rig (FK w/ selection handles). I have yet to make some videos to demonstrate the rig, but I think screencaps shows off some of the obvious possibilities. Stay tuned for some animations! (hoping I have the time)
