Music: Fleep.com

Tracks that never get old, spun simply but nicely. Though the live stuff gets a little "live". Groovy & funky. Chill house, tribal house and tech... though not too techy.

Listen to FLEEP.COM.

If you like bears, or more importantly... VODKA, you'll probably enjoy this heart-warming little animation.

Shorts: Gobelins

Here's some more inspiring animated shorts. I sometimes wonder how stuff like this sneaks in below the radar. I particularly enjoyed Burning Safari

This is a French animation school. Burning Safari is the kinda thing I'd love to work on.

Animation: Piñata

This is not affiliated with the project I'm working on, although we did try and snag one of the guys who worked on it. I had heard of this short a few months before we started our TV series, but it wasn't until now that I've been able to see it for myself.

*note: No live piñata's were hurt during the making of this short.

Flash: Mario is a commie.

The People's Mario
In the spirit of the "New Super Mario Brothers" release for the DS. Which, by the way, I would highly recommend tooling around with. Many wonderfully unproductive childhood memories were brought to the surface instantly.

Game: Panarity

Those those of you who want to break into 3D, it doesn't hurt to have some UV unwrapping experience. Grace presents to you Planarity. Believe it or not, there are people do almost exactly this all day long.

Film: Happily N'Ever After

Not sure what I'm allowed to say, so I'll say nothing and let the teaser speak for itself. Click for the high bandwidth teaser.

Film: Shane Acker's "9"

"After his Siggraph 2005 Best of Show award win and the recent announcement that Tim Burton will produce a feature-length version of his film "9", we expect that Shane Acker will be around for quite some time. Here to interview Acker is Sam Chen, the Siggraph 2003 Best of Show award winner." - AnimationTrip.com
Here's the interview

To view the trailer for the short.

Sometime during the next few days I will have the pleasure in watching the actual short. After which, I will post a few thoughts. Can't wait to see the zipper dudes in action.

===============================================================

The short was very slick and worth checking out if you have the opportunity. Or, if you wait a little while, it's being made into a feature film. Unfortunately our studio didn't get the contract, but I'm hoping that we'll be able to display our work on the bid test sometime within the next year.
